H-2119 Pécel, Kálvin tér 1.
The Ráday Palace, a Baroque jewel once lively with outstanding scientific and cultural life, can be a perfect location for weddings, receptions, concerts, cultural events and film shootings.
The palace of Pécel is in Pest County, about half an hour’s drive from the capital. Parking is available on the street, in front of the building.
The builders of the palace, Pál I Ráday (secret chancellor of Ferenc II Rákóczi) and his son, Gedeon I Ráday were the members of a Reformed middle noble family. Ferenc Kazinczy called the palace the Parnassus of Pécel as the building was the meeting place of scientists and writers. The internal spaces, including the library and the ceremonial hall on the first floor, are decorated with imposing wall paintings. The Baroque kitchen excavated recently is something of a curiosity. The palace has not been renovated, yet. It retains its old patina, which makes it a stunning venue.
