SHORT INTRODUCTION

The imposing palace of Edelény built on an artificial island on the Bódva is a prominent piece of Hungarian Baroque architecture. Baron L’Huillier started to build the castle in 1716, and its golden age also dates back to these early decades. The palace has been completely renovated and several halls meeting all demands have been formed. The 12-hectare palace garden, with its indigenous plants and animals, is protected by Natura 2000. The majestic rooms, the ceremonial courtyard and the garden are all perfect choices for different events.
